I have decided to add a bonus hike to the Hiking Stick Program series, as a celebration for everyone who hiked with me this year at the Great Parks of Hamilton County! Before the hike, if you have completed 7 trails in the Hamilton County Parks this year, you are eligible to purchase a Hiking stick at the Nature's Niche gift shop inside the Cotswold Visitor's Center! I have kept track so I will contact those that have achieved this goal Please come at 3:00 to make your purchase so we can start the hike on time (the store is open from 12:00 - 4:30!
The Hiking Staff Program is a way to visit the Great Parks of Hamilton County and get rewarded for it. The first year, if you hike 7 trails, you are able to purchase the hiking staff. Each year you complete 7 trails, you get a metal emblem to attach to your staff. If you hike all 34 trails in one calendar year, you can purchase the Master Hiker Emblem.
Come join me for any or all the hikes in this series!
here is the link to the form so you can track your progress - after you complete your trails, you will need to turn it in at one of the nature centers to purchase your staff and emblems!
